Sustain It Right and GIST Impact

Sustain It Right (SIR) today announced the launch of our new partnership with GIST Impact, a leading impact data and analytics provider that has been measuring and quantifying corporate impacts for more than 16 years, with a team of 100+ scientists, engineers, data scientists, and environmental economists. GIST Impact works with pioneering companies across all sectors and investors representing over $8 trillion in assets under management, and partners with the world’s largest ESG data providers, business networks, and fintech platforms.

Together we are enhancing double materiality assessments through the integration of GIST Impact’s quantitative double materiality scores into Sustain It Right’s “Intelligent DMA” (iDMA) solution. See here for more information.

Aligned with European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and built using impact intelligence data on over 14,500 companies, GIST Impact quantitative materiality scores serve as an accessible starting point for materiality assessment, and help effectively mitigate biases that arise through a qualitative-only materiality analysis process.

By leveraging these combined capabilities, companies can accelerate compliance with CSRD/ESRS reporting obligations, gain deep insights into their sustainability performance, and chart a more strategic path toward sustainability.

Speaking on the partnership, Sam King, SVP Corporate, GIST Impact, said: "Data-driven and scientifically supported analysis is critical to assessing CSRD materiality. This is where GIST Impact's double materiality scores come into play, helping to de-risk the process by grounding analysis in actual company impacts. Our scores help accelerate progress by fast-tracking the identification, validation and analysis of material topics and their associated impacts, risks and opportunities. We're excited to be partnering with SIR, combining our complementary data measurement and reporting capabilities, to further enhance the CSRD process for clients."

Marc Escande, President, SIR, said: “Our new iDMA solution – powered by double materiality scores from our partner GIST Impact – enables the 45,000 companies subject to the CSRD to maximise the benefits from their Double Materiality Assessments, while significantly minimising costs and potential risks. The solution’s unique ability to differentiate materiality profiles by organizational units and streamline the input of all necessary stakeholder. This translates into more valuable contributions that help improve sustainability strategies and increase CSRD compliance. Our iDMA solution is ready to benefit companies of any shape and size today. We can’t wait to showcase it to you.”
